“Buying, selling, finding, remodeling, investing—everything is better (not to mention, more fun) when you’re doing it with talented people you trust.”

About Us

Joining forces for a common purpose: You

At Collective Property Consultants, we do things a little differently. Our agents come from different backgrounds, with different areas of expertise, and even different brokerages to unite under the same goal—to deliver exceptional, inclusive client care and services for buyers, sellers, and homeowners.

Whether you're an investor looking for up-and-coming areas, a first-time homebuyer looking for “the one,” or a family wanting the perfect combination of house and neighborhood, we know what questions to ask, what answers to look for, and what doors to open.

Meet Our Team

Katie Geffken

FOUNDER & PARTNER AGENT

A marketing strategist and local business owner turned Realtor®, Katie has an entrepreneurial spirit and loves to make a positive impact in people’s lives through her work.

She spent years marketing for top brands like P&G and Volkswagen, but wanted to make more of a positive impact in her community. So she switched gears and founded Biker Barre, a Capitol Hill cycling and barre studio. While the studio was an instant success and is today a neighborhood staple, Katie grew hungry again for the chance to make a difference in a more tangible way.

Upon getting her real estate license to buy her own home (as one does), Katie realized she had stumbled into the perfect role for her personality and skill set.

Hard skills like developing a marketing strategy, managing negotiations, and conducting property valuations are part of Katie’s DNA. But the soft skills are where she thrives. After 7+ years of running a fitness studio with 45+ staff members and 12k+ clients, Katie knows a thing or two about customer service, managing a team, and making sure everyone feels heard and served.

Katie holds a BA and MBA from the University of Michigan. She’s the past president of the Business School Alumni Club of DC and remains an active part of the community. Her husband Andrew is also a crazy entrepreneur type, having founded Charm City Meadworks and now helping other small food and beverage start-ups. (Their 4-year-old daughter, Genevieve, is really the one in charge.)

“We’ve combined resources behind-the-scenes to make our systems more efficient and marketing more robust. This means not only winning more often for our clients, but having more time for our relationship with them.”

About Us

What Makes Collective Property Consultants So Unique?

Unlike traditional teams– where a seasoned agent at the top acts as the face of the team but may not interact regularly with clients– each member from Collective Property Consultants stands on their own and maintains relationships with their respective clientele while being backed by one another. We've gathered a team of top-of-the line agents with years of experience to create the most successful outcome for you.

Each client still gets to work with their agent of choice, but behind the scenes, each agent is backed by a group of vetted individual agents and their combined knowledge.  We’ve combined resources to make the systems run more efficiently and the marketing more robust.  This means not only winning more often, but having more time to focus on the relationship, which is what it’s all about.

Are you a real estate professional who wants to join our team?

Partners are voted in by current members and must demonstrate extraordinary knowledge of the local market while also being a dream to work with. We’re purposefully (and unapologetically) picky for a good reason—our high standards mean one less thing our clients have to worry about.

Run on Referrals. Powered by Coffee.

Every relationship starts somewhere. For us, it's over coffee. We keep it casual on purpose– after all, the whole point of the real estate journey is to help you feel right at home.
