FOUNDER & PARTNER AGENT
A marketing strategist and local business owner turned Realtor®, Katie has an entrepreneurial spirit and loves to make a positive impact in people’s lives through her work.
She spent years marketing for top brands like P&G and Volkswagen, but wanted to make more of a positive impact in her community. So she switched gears and founded Biker Barre, a Capitol Hill cycling and barre studio. While the studio was an instant success and is today a neighborhood staple, Katie grew hungry again for the chance to make a difference in a more tangible way.
Upon getting her real estate license to buy her own home (as one does), Katie realized she had stumbled into the perfect role for her personality and skill set.
Hard skills like developing a marketing strategy, managing negotiations, and conducting property valuations are part of Katie’s DNA. But the soft skills are where she thrives. After 7+ years of running a fitness studio with 45+ staff members and 12k+ clients, Katie knows a thing or two about customer service, managing a team, and making sure everyone feels heard and served.
Katie holds a BA and MBA from the University of Michigan. She’s the past president of the Business School Alumni Club of DC and remains an active part of the community. Her husband Andrew is also a crazy entrepreneur type, having founded Charm City Meadworks and now helping other small food and beverage start-ups. (Their 4-year-old daughter, Genevieve, is really the one in charge.)
Melody is an earth-conscious Realtor® who is passionate about helping buyers find their ideal home, guiding sellers through this hot market, and inspiring everyone to live happier, healthier, and more sustainable lifestyles.
A Realtor for over 15 years (with 10+ in the DC metro area), Melody has experience navigating an extreme buyers market (remember 2008?), an extreme sellers market (like now!), and everything in between.
99% of Melody’s client base is referrals and repeat business– a number she’s proud to report. Her warm, laid back demeanor and low-pressure approach to sales has earned Melody an impressive track record, including being recently named #1 in Closed Sales Volume for Keller Williams Capital Properties.
With her NAR Green Designation, Melody is well versed in issues relating to energy efficiency and sustainability in real estate. She believes that by investing in the communities we love, we can help the planet, increase property values, and make the world a better place. As a Volunteer Leader with Potomac Conservancy, steward of Friends of Sligo Creek, and environmental advocate on social media, Melody helps to raise public awareness for local causes and green housing opportunities.
Melody is mother to two rambunctious children, Ellie and Preston. Her personal residence is in the eclectic neighborhood of Takoma Park, MD. She has also lived and owned property in DC (Shaw) and Alexandria (Old Town and Del Ray).
Maëlla Bouchard is a Realtor® licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. She followed her heart, and her deep love of houses led her into the world of real estate.
After years in customer service-oriented careers, including design-build and home retail, Maëlla is excited to be launching on this fantastic adventure backed by the knowledge and strength of Collective Property Consultants.
She cannot wait to embark with you on this journey and find the perfect house to have you call home. Most importantly - she cannot wait to make this often daunting and confusing process fun and exciting!
A Realtor® licensed in Maryland and DC, Chelsea is an avid gardener who is passionate about native plants and sustainable landscaping (think: no mowing and little watering) and is eager to share her expertise with others. An active member of her Cheverly community where she has lived for nearly 20 years, she co-founded the Cheverly Native Planting Project and serves on the Cheverly Community Market Board.
A recovering Senate staffer, climate change crusader, yogi, and writer of fiction and non-fiction, Chelsea has spent three decades in the DMV honing a set of skills that are very applicable to real estate.
The mother of two fully formed adults and two very engaging cats, Chelsea loves helping her clients find just what they need.

“We’ve combined resources behind-the-scenes to make our systems more efficient and marketing more robust. This means not only winning more often for our clients, but having more time for our relationship with them.”
What Makes Collective Property Consultants So Unique?
Each client still gets to work with their agent of choice, but behind the scenes, each agent is backed by a group of vetted individual agents and their combined knowledge. We’ve combined resources to make the systems run more efficiently and the marketing more robust. This means not only winning more often, but having more time to focus on the relationship, which is what it’s all about.
Are you a real estate professional who wants to join our team?
Partners are voted in by current members and must demonstrate extraordinary knowledge of the local market while also being a dream to work with. We’re purposefully (and unapologetically) picky for a good reason—our high standards mean one less thing our clients have to worry about.
